GETTING THE HALT TREATMENT - BIRCH PLYWOOD
Here at our Belfast facility, we can treat a wide variety of timbers with our innovative timber impregnation process.
Birch plywood is one of the most popular timbers and known for its strength and durability. There are between 30 and 60 different types of birch, mostly native to North America, but can also be found in Europe and Southwest Asia. Birch plywood can be used for many different purposes, from furniture and home improvements, to structural applications and small construction projects.
Along with strength and durability, there are many advantages to using birch plywood. It is very sustainable due to its abundance and growth rate. It is also considered one of the safest woods as its smooth surface is not prone to splintering or cracking.
HALT treats birch plywood with BURNBLOCK – an environmentally friendly, natural fire retardant, certified to the highest European fire ratings to ensure fire safety compliance on timber projects.
Last year we treated birch plywood to be used as wall panelling within a new Wowburger in Bray, Co. Wicklow – you can view this project here
