At HALT, all our timber is treated with Burnblock® - a fire retardant treatment for timber that's highly effective, non-toxic and 100% natural.
No harsh chemicals. No nasty surprises. Just pure, plant-based science that stops fire before it even starts. How? It's simple: No oxygen. No fire. Invisible once applied and rigorously tested, Burnblock® leaves timber looking exactly as it should - no residue, no staining. Cut it, sand it, finish it however you like. The protection is there... you just can't see it.
After HALT's impregnation process, the timber develops a smart, self-defending surface. When exposed to heat, it chars and releases water, absorbing huge amounts of thermal energy and dramatically slowing ignition, fire spread and flame intensity. The result?
